picked up a used 2024 ITS and loving it. the only real issue i've been having is the following:

  • the brightness of gauges, hud, and infotainment screen can only be changed manually. they never automatically brighten in the day and darken in the night.
  • the screen display settings button does not have a day/night selection mode like i've seen in some manual screenshots

anyone seen this before? the headlights are on 'auto' mode of course and the gauge menu brightness selector is *not* set to max. i just replaced the "sunload sensor" on the dash because it was an easy/cheap part - no change. the system updates app is telling me that the car is up-to-date. the manual hasn't given me any clues either. do i just need to take it to a dealer?

thanks but this is not the problem i'm experiencing, but it did prompt me to check a behavior:

my manual brightness adjustment dial works whether or not the lights are on. as soon as i move it down from the highest notch, my carplay nav goes from white to black.

also just hit it with the OBD scanner, no DTCs. will take a deeper look later and see if there are PIDs that show light info

Looks like the windshield was replaced with an aftermarket one and the headlight/rain sensor was not installed!
