I think I did about a 20 min Nurburgring lap with my rental Fiat Punto, 80 year old dad and pregnant wife in the car.
We didnāt know til 2 weeks later she was pregnant. š
so you liked or hated the manual 440i?
BMWs arenāt involving any in normal driving anymore, lots of power doesnāt help. Thatās why I went back to Hondas. The light weight and manuals make them fun to drive day to day. You need to be on a track for modern BMWs to come alive.
I was excited for the CX70, rear drive inline six platform between CX5 and CX90 in size. Alas it turned out to be a 5 seat CX90, which is typical Mazda stupidity.
to the OP, you obviously like trading cars, whatever you buy will be gone in a year so I wonāt make suggestions.
Oh man, if they have discounts like that when I get back to the US in 2025, I'll have to get one! And it's got front and rear armrests, something the GRC, ITS and CTR don't have. :D
That's awesome. I think the CT4V BW starts at $63k, did you get a discount or buy used?
I absolutely would not pay an ADM for a GM product, no matter how cool it is. Gotta draw the line. :D
If the CT4V BW came with a normally aspirated V8, it would be my top choice. But the V6TT takes it...
2025 GTI gets steering wheel buttons but loses the 6mT, Iād guess the R does also. GTI manual sucks anyway.
To the OP, unless you bump up to $70k for a CTS4V Blackwing thereās really no 6mT alternative. Iām sure the Cadillac dealers are total aholes too.
same here, I donāt put these two cars in the same category of driving fun, especially the M240i being an automatic. M2 would be more comparable.
I think on track or a great road a powerful automatic can be great fun, but in day to day driving the manual adds greatly to the enjoyment.
do it...
a lot of stocks and stock sectors did bust, like small caps. Sectors like cannabis and biotech are down like 80%. Itās only the large indexes like the S&P500 that has stayed high due to the top 7 stocks which are AI related tech stocks making up 40% of the index.
The markets have been waiting...
My older son is 12, my plan is to get him a 10th gen Civic hatch Sport 6mT (he loves the look). But we'll see how he does learning stick, a CVT might be better for him to have less to worry about as he learns to drive.
I think you absolutely want Sensing or something equivalent and parking...
I want that blue so bad, but after 3 blue cars in a row my wife is making me buy a white car.
But if I get her a white CX5 . . . canāt have two white cars.
If an Integra can be over $50k, a Prelude can be $60k, and have a FWD + rear drive electric hybrid. That could end up being fun to drive. Iād prefer a manual but thereās more of a market for an automatic. If itās an affordable Halo car it can be a coupe or fastback.
But more likely itāll be a...
Itās a $50k car, back in 1997 I paid I think $21k for my GSR and a Type R was $25k and never went over sticker. I was making $40k out of college. It was doable for young people. I might have bought one if I knew how much better it was than a GSR.
Now with the cost of living tripled and salaries...
I think it's less age and more of what kind of shape you're in. I'm 55 and started going to the gym 3-4 times a week after moving to Taiwan last year since there's one in our apartment building.
It makes a huge difference in all kinds of things, including getting in and out of low cars, and...
have you driven one? I'd guess it's rather numb compared to the ITS, but the engine sound would never get old.
I miss having a nice sounding engine, last one I had was the 2004 330i ZHP, loved listening to that engine. Longest I ever owned a car too, at 12 years.
