The new tune put a big ol shiteatin grin on my face but this might be my favorite mod so far. Makes the shifter so much better and it was already good.
Love this Acuity stuff. Always had to get a whole shifter with other cars but their parts make this one so good.
All I needed was the short...
Definitely
Had him put the full power tune in Sport mode cuz the pops ain’t my thing.
Tried out a boost limit for first gear to see if I liked it but it was a no go for me. Didnt like the restriction. I would rather control the output with my feet.
I did actually do something to it today tho
Hood struts are in
15 year old me is loving the way it looks under the hood
Now to get some of that gold foil and a turbo blanket
Do you put the drip tray back when you’re not at the track or drive it like that daily
I was thinking of modifying it/ keeping the right side so it still protects the airbox inlet but is more open from the center over. Keep some rain out if I do have to drive in wet weather
I did the same but with a DS18 sub. I also heavily coated the inside of the box with fiberglass resin to give it more mass/strength then put in the polyfill. Once the speaker got “broken in” it seems to have given me quite a bit more bass and it’s a lot tighter. Obviously not as much as an amp...
I’ve got 275/35/18 on 18x9.5 76rr on it now
Perfect street look to me
Was thinking it could handle the 295 with a little wider rim since the track width is less in rear
What tire/wheel combo you run on track?
Decided to give her a quick wash after finally getting her out of the garage. Been about a week of new parts and no ecm. Base tune from Brian at JST all loaded up and ready to do the datalogs. Gotta be fresh
I’ll look for that previous post. I think I read it a while ago but didn’t put it together with your username.
I have been considering running it at Hallett which is fairly close to me.
I think I will copy what you did and see how that goes.
And yeah 150 laps in a day sounds like a really...
Sounds like exactly what I’m going for. Around 350 to the wheels and still using stock cooling for now.
What kinda insulation and reflection did you do?
Started my mod journey this week. Sent the ecm off to Cobb to be unlocked so I can get it custom tuned by JST. Getting all the other parts on while I wait.
Changing the oil and trans fluid
Adding the WOT cooling plate
PRL intake and turbo inlet
Acuity shifter bushings
I decided to do this after I saw the RF guys post but I didn’t like the specs on the Rockford. I never saw this MB but I did end up swapping the stock sub out for a DS18 SRW8. The specs are pretty good for working with the stock amp and it only cost me $80.
When I swapped out the sub I coated...
