Recently got my ECU cloned and jailbroken, remotely, by Phearable, and also flashed their Stage-2 Tune (all stock, no bolt-ons). Want to share my experience with the community.
A few things upfront:
1. What is "remote" jailbreak?
With normal jailbreak service, you need to take the ECU out of...
Yep, that's largely the reason I prefer "long" throw vs "short throw". I like the Acuity shifter because you can adjust the front-back throw independently from the left-right throw.
My current config:
- left-right, *shortest* throw, to reduce the in gear wiggle/slop (1,2,5,6)
- front-back...
Just placed the order for the dual type-c variant. Are there any read-to-purchase/ship options for 2025 DE5? Maybe a splitter of some sort that allow us to split the power supply from the front usb ports.

I'd say the installation is quite chill, took me about 1 hr from start to finish.
Disconnect the battery and wait for a good 20 mins for everything to be fully discharged, then you can poke the airbag off w/o no problem. You'll probably need a breaker bar since the center nut is pretty tight...
Just installed this beautiful steering wheel from Crismo and absolutely love how it lights up the cabin.
Sharing some pictures during installation. Some notes:
- BEFORE you disconnect the battery, start the car and try your best to center the steering wheel as much as possible.
(I didn't do...
The 4th spring is strange, and I don't fully understand how it works. It's supposed to affect how much the weighted swing arm assist the front-back movement (from the blog post I linked)
When I replaced the OE spring with FK8TD one, the shifting effort between 3-4 are decreased so much that...
Haha I think my shift knob is probably way higher than yours :-) See my other thread here:

Problem with a taller shift knob is the increasing slop when in gear 1,2,5,6,R...
I've been playing around detent springs for the past month and want to share my learning and experience with the community.
This is my shifting setup prior to the detent springs...
Thanks for the suggestion on bleeder. I have a pressure bleeder (manual pump) but am having a hard time finding an adapter cap that fit the DE5 brake fluid reservoir. Do you have suggestions?
Really? good to know, I tried so many things already trying to getting rid of the infamious 2nd gear grind (CDV delete, master cylinder rod, clutch pedal adjustment, transmission fluid..), and I've lost hope, now I just wait a full second (if not more) between 1-2 shifts..
Now you've given me...
regarding the "upgraded" master/slave cylinder, yeah I do agree they're a bit sketchy. No plans to get them :-)
I already installed the JSR CDV delete slave cylinder, don't plan to remove the damper on master cylinder yet.
I found the fk8td detent springs via this blog post:
https://functiontheory.com/2024/01/detent-springs-fk8/
It's for FK8. I assumed there's not much difference between FK8 and FL5 in terms of the transmission detent mechanism (maybe I'm wrong).
I actually did installed hybrid racing spring...
