Just my opinion. I think for those of us looking for more sound then OEM, the PRL intake with the AEM filter is the loudest and the most filtrated aftermarket option.

Check out this guys Instagram. He tests the efficiency and compares different brands of intakes. Pretty neat setup he has. According to his tests, AEM Dry Flow has 99.5% filtration efficiency.

Lol it is just one tiny tick quieter for A LOT better filtration! It’s worth it! I PROMISE! People can hate all they want about aftermarket intakes but my PRL intake paired with my HKS SSQV sounds AMAZING. I have received multiple compliments on the streets and at Sebring Raceway.

The AEM filter is like a nice sweatshirt compared to the PRL filter is like an old thin worn t-shirt. Definitely a big difference. I will say the intake noises are slightly, maybe 10% quieter with the AEM on now. Still a million times better then the stock intake noises. lol

That damage is so minimal compared to the 22,000 miles and multiple track days I’ve participated in this first year in a half of ownership.

I switched to the AEM dry flow filter about 7,000 miles ago since the PRL filter was letting a lot of dust inside. Just so everyone knows, the PRL filter is just one single thin piece of cloth that is see through.

PRL intake, TSP downpipe and Jester tuned. The torque steer isn’t that bad compared to the spinning. From a 3rd gear roll I’ll just spin the tires once boost hits. I had to go down to 18 inch rims and softer tires to get some traction. The added power also caused me to overheat in 50 degree...

The picture is of my Type R, I ran in intermediate. I was just saying I saw your car going onto the track and wanted to say hi but didn’t see where you were parked. I’ve heard good things about chin. Very professional. They do a little better tech inspection then Track Nights I’ve been warned.

I saw you go out in another group! I was parked in the garages and didn’t see you around there. How did you do? How did your temps do with it being 87 degrees outside? Are you going again in April or May?

So if all of this is true, why does Spoon, Mugen and HKS all lower their track Type R’s?

I’ve had Spoons for a couple months now just sitting in the box. But have been thinking about selling for canflex instead.

I track every other month lately and have recently bought Spoon springs but was not planning to do any other suspension mods. From what you’re saying, the car will handle worse if I install the Spoon springs and don’t buy any LCAs or ball joints to adjust the camber!?

Most people are tuned and have the pops and bangs made louder is all. They’re pretty faint in comparison stock.
