The backordered steering rack finally came in, and I brought the car to the dealer on Friday.
They put me in an Integra CVT A-Spec (non-tech) again, and I had the fortune of getting to try the slow traffic auto drive mode, which was pretty cool. (Not cool enough for me to give up the 6MT tho...
Good to know -- hopefully mine won't be months in backlog. They alluded to a loaner, but I don't feel it's dangerous to drive. Ironically enough, I wouldn't want my 23 yo daughter to drive it, but my 20 yo son and daughter would probably be just fine.
I also do a lot of my own...
Good point about keeping the engine in the middle of the power band. You're correct that once it started pulling, it kept pulling at a consistent acceleration. It just felt super disconnected to me. I returned the loaner after a couple days, so I'm back to my 6MT.
They told me the rack was...
After things cooled off here, the sticky steering issue became more pronounced again. I finally got annoyed enough with it (along w/ a groan/squeak in the driver's front seat) that I brought it to the dealer.
The service advisor (admittedly new) wasn't aware, but the service manager...
About a year ago, I applied Griot's Fabric Protectant per the instruction on the bottle, and it has held up very well. Small spills are easily blotted away without issue and water beads on the fabric.
While I don't trust LKA in particular, nor do I use it very often, what you're describing is not the sticky steering issue. You're describing an LKA misfunction.
The sticky steering issue is the wheel freezing in a specific position, regardless of road condition / lines, combined with...
I noticed the GPS info as well and found it very curious.
I've been wondering as to whether the car's GPS information is being ported to the phone for Android Auto and then back to the display. Otherwise, it seems strange to have the data there, unless it's only Acura link that's using it.
Officially I was contacted by the Office of Defects Investigation who was representing the NHTSA. It was about a half hour interview.
There was a variety of vehicle identification type questions to gather info.
They asked lots and lots of questions specific to the symptoms, onset mileage...
Count me in @ ~5,300 miles. I noticed it at the outset, but during a 1,200 mile road trip this weekend, it really started standing out how the steering was very sticky feeling at times. Not dangerously so, but definitely requiring more effort to get it started moving for small adjustments...
Reporting back: Success.
Powershell format was a no go, as the partition wasn't properly defined.
I recommend using MiniTool Partition Wizard for partitioning and formatting.
Thanks again mikea9999 and Leehro.
(Updating initial post for clarity)
Thank you for posting this confirmation.
I tried formatting my 256 GB 3.1 w/ both Powershell and the HP USB tool for FAT 32, and it simply wouldn't recognize it. I guess I could try my 128 GB again (I think I only HP tool formatted it), since it's the same Sandisk model as Leehro's 256 GB...
After trying several variations of USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1, FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS - and drive sizes of 128 GB, 256 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB...
It would appear that the drive must be FAT32 and 32GB or less. (USB 3.0 or USB 2.0)
I didn't have a 64 GB to try, but even larger 128 and...

As you might guess, I'm a bit of an O.Z. wheel fan. (Also, other wheels I'm interested in have been...
Having to use tape to solve a rattle didn't sit properly with me, so I took the Integra to the Acura dealer to have them resolve it. Naturally, I took my 3M 33 electrical tape off before bringing it there. They diagnosed the latch mechanism as the issue and told me they ordered a new one...
Thanks for posting the weights.
Jeez. According to Continental's website, the 235/40 R18 91W weighs 23.1 lbs. that puts the stock wheels in the 27-28 lbs range. 😒
