  1. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

First, hang in there and be persistent. Second, file an NHTSA report. It only takes a few minutes. It costs you nothing and gives you specific documentation on when the problem is happening. Third, you can submit an customer care case through https://mygarage.honda.com/s/send-an-email. I did...
  2. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

You're correct. It's even worse. This recall is for incorrectly assembled replacement steering racks that stick out into the tires 🤦. So if you have a Civic, got your sticky steering "fixed", it's possible the rack was assembled wrong and it'll stick into your tire when you turn.
  3. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

My dealer replaced the steering rack assembly about a week ago. So far so good!
  4. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

In my experience, it's inconsistent, sometimes mild, sometimes severe, but more likely to happen in cold weather. It was happening pretty regularly to me in December/January last year when temps were around 40. The day I took it to the dealer, same temps, and it didn't do it at all. Following...
  5. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

NHTSA and Honda just announced a recall for 2022-2024 Civic: 23V704. Doesn’t include Integra. Edit: “Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Civic 4-door and Civic 5-door vehicles that received a replacement power steering rack as part of a service repair. The steering...
  6. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

That's my understanding. I'm not a wrench, but I'm pretty sure when they say they're replacing the "steering rack" they mean the rack assembly. I don't have any detailed parts catalogs but dreamshop.honda.com lists a "13.RACK ASSY., POWER STEERING (EPS)(REWRITABLE)" for Integra and I assume...
  7. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

I took a copy of the Civic TSB with me when I took my Integra to the dealer about a week ago for the sticky steering. It was having the problem lately but not that day. The dealer didn't offer to repair and wouldn't really acknowledge the Civic TSB. They did offer to check with Acura about what...
  8. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

Thanks for sharing your experience. @Curl2TheHouse . I haven't had it happen since February. I kept a log with the temperatures, conditions, and durations. I live in NC so the weather is milder. When it happened in December and January, temps were around 40F. It happened briefly on a 70F day in...
  9. How long will the integra Stick Around?

For an Acura it’s been selling well. They sold 19k Integras this year as of August 1. That’s way ahead of TLX (11k) and just edging out RDX. Only the MDX has sold more in 2023. Of course a refresh would certainly boost RDX sales, but I imagine they’re happy with Integra sales. Plus, since it...
  10. Spare Tire

Yeah $200 for the whole kit (wheel, tools, tool tray) is solid. I bought mine piecemeal since the kit was backordered so long. Shipping for just the wheel and tray (heavy+bulky and bulky) was $53 for my order. I ended up paying about $400 for everything in the kit, then about 160 for the same...
  11. Complimentary Maintenance?

I tried to take my A-Spec in at 20% and they wouldn’t cover it. I had just gotten a marketing email from Acura about scheduling service and I was just about to take a long trip so I thought it would be good to get it done. i made the appointment, brought the car in. They wrote up the service...
  12. About to order a 24, few questions

I have a 6MT with about 9000 miles. The MPG got better after the first 1000 miles or so. It’s not hard to hit 40mpg on a long highway drive. the rev match is very good. You can also turn it off when you don’t want it, so it’s a great feature. the car has both hill start assist and brake hold...
  13. A-Spec Rim Touch up paint

I didn’t take any before pictures but I had some bigger spots and this is a vast improvement
  14. A-Spec Rim Touch up paint

I’m touching mine up today with NH797M. Still wet but it’s a good match.
  15. Paint code for the shark gray wheels?

I scraped a wheel on a very tight corner in my Integra a couple weeks ago - I had to get between the curb and a police motorcycle. The good news is I didn't hit the motorcycle. I found this thread and bought the modern steel metallic touch-up paint. I ended up with the honda part...
  16. Poll: Best Type-S Review

Not sure why TH wasn't in California to drive the ITS but I don't know if there's any bad blood - maybe they had a scheduling conflict and couldn't make the first drive event, or maybe they deal with Acura Canada and they get second round after USA. For the A-Spec, TH wasn't at the Austin first...
  17. Spare Tire Kit for 2023 Integra Manual Transmission

There is a thread here https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/spare-tire.50412/ and one on another board https://www.integratalk.com/threads/space-saver-spare-tire-kit.607/ As of April, the official kit from Acura/Honda was still backordered. No idea if it's in stock now. You could try...
  18. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Pricing & MPG Fuel Economy Released! Pre-Order Begins May 11

Wow. Maybe they're trying to price in some of the markup? I'm happy with my A-Spec 6MT and wasn't even considering a Type S at 47-48k, but starting over 50 doesn't seem very competitive.
  19. Spare Tire

Do you have a source for that info? I've seen it mentioned online before but I've read through the manual and there's nothing in there about that. The section about using a compact spare tire shows replacing the front driver-side tire with the compact spare. The only thing they tell you not to...
  20. Introducing the 2024 Acura Integra Type S! On Sale in June

Welcome to the board. Where in NC? I live in Morrisville and got my A-Spec Tech 6MT from Leith Acura in Cary last year. They sold at MSRP but required about $700 in mandatory accessories. So not really MSRP but at least I was able to get the few things I wanted. I'm not getting a Type S, best...
