That dealer doesn’t want to help you. If you can, try a different dealer that’s willing to help. If the service person acknowledged experiencing the problem, they should’ve implemented fixes and not tried to duplicate the problem again before doing anything.

Yes, I'm aware of the 2 year free maintenance program. The problem is I want to change my oil at 5,000 miles instead of waiting for 10,000 miles, especially for the first oil change. Oil is relatively cheap at Costco, so I don't mind missing out on 2 oil changes (at 10k and 20k) from the dealership.

A heads up for anyone thinking about getting a screen protector, DO NOT buy the "Moonlinks" one for the 11th gen Civic from Amazon. It fits fine, but the adhesive is defective. It's only been 2 weeks since install and sections are already unpeeling and creating small pockets underneath.
