    fyi/fwiw I ended up getting: Covercraft Reflectect Car Cover - Silver (sunlight being the primary thing I'm trying to mitigate, here in SF Bay Area) It fits quite well. I also got the "gust guards" but I don't know if I actually need them because the cover fits tightly at both front & rear...

    one can flash/re-map the "spare" ECU and keep the precious un-modified OEM ECU around, and reinstall the OEM ECU as-necessary.

    What is the effect on speedo accuracy with above setup, and is it correctable if there is a non-trivial change to accuracy? update: nevermind, I have found tire-calc.com and I presume that different-tire-size speedo-inaccuracy is non-correctable.
