ScottE, great job getting opinions on both versions. That's what forums are for, getting opinions. I'll add mine to the mix.
I have the A-Stech 6MT. I got one of the first that was made in June 22. I have been happy, and have no interest in the ITS, although I know it would be a sizable...
I've stalled a few times. Some of them revolve around auto stop-start. I leave it on, so my car turns off, and then back on when I depress the clutch. I usually am in neutral at a stop.
Some of my annoying stalls have been when I thought I was coming to a stop but the light changed at the...
That's cheaper than a Rivian. Cheaper and better quality isn't always the story with Automotive startups though. While it is a delightful little concept, I've got zero interest in a full electric compact pickup. Maybe in a hatchback, but not a pickup for me.
My favorite rack was the Thule roof rack on my Saab wagon. But SUVs are too tall and I'm too short to use one on my wife's car. And roof rails don't look right on most cars. It was sweet on the Saab longroof. though.
I've currently got a Kuat hitch rack on my PHEV, and I've never had any...
I donated a slightly broken 70" tv to charity and hauled it in my integra instead of my wife's RDX, because it fit better. Deleted the pic or I'd post it.
I haven't done it yet, but I'm planning on one that does suck!
With the seasucker bike rack, I can have the front forks on the roof but behind the sunroof, and the back on the rear glass. I'm not thrilled with anything I've seen on adding a trailer hitch.
Nice pics. this is why I love me some hatchback! With the liftover height it's not perfect. I keep the back seat folded down and the cargo cover out. I put a dog bed for my big dog and he rides along! He has to stoop down when he stands up though cause his head bumps the ceiling.
I'm not much of a lease guy, but I think residual value on the lease is a part of the equation. It possibly could be cheaper to buy one used than the lease buy out. Used car values were whack in 2022 if that's when you signed your lease.
You really have to weigh head vs. heart on this one...
I too sold a BMW (128i M-Sport) to make room for the Acura, and I don't regret it. It has NOT been a let down for me.
The BMW was a delightful analog experience, and the driving experience was markedly better than the Acura, even on my gnarly old tires. But was never going to approach the...
I received my recall notification in the mail yesterday.
I had minor inconvenience with my car, notified the dealer a year ago, and received the standard "no problem found" solution.
I have had this issue in a minor way. Sometimes a slight extra tug to set the correct direction. I will have this taken care of at my dealer. They are above average. Still somewhat nervous about creating a big problem, fixing a small problem.
I don't think I'd say deadly...but 2.5 hours was my longest trip.
My worst recent experience was with a 2014 Elantra GT. It was a really great package, but the front seats were curved buckets, not bolsters. We road tripped to New Orleans, and I had to take a break in the rear seat while my...
2023 A-Spec 6MT
2 years and 10K miles
I'm still real happy with the car, and enjoy driving every single day. Rattles and sticky steering have been really minor for me.
Bigger problems are-
1. Noisy. It's just a noisy ride. Now I've been in mostly luxury cars for the last 20 years, so it's...
I really like those Sparco wheels. My car is white, so I'm not sure that would look as good for me. But I expect 17" would greatly improve the ride, especially with highway tires.
Can I ask the rude question of how much you paid for the wheels? I've never bought a set of replacement wheels...
According to those logos on the window they appear to be a dealer for every single MFR selling in the US. Is that a Fiskar logo?
Is anyone signing up for a new Ocean?
I have a 23 6MT white with ~8000 miles. I am in the midwest (STLMO).
But my interior is red. I love it, but my previous car had red leather and loved that too!
If you're interested, please contact me, but be patient because I don't check the site all the time. I'm certainly not anxious to...
These are personal preference. I think the rain covers fit quite well and I am okay with em. You have the blackout emblems which I have too and like. But I'm not a fan of the dark tint.
But as Frenzal says, my opinion is meaningless. When you park and walk away, do you turn back for a last...
My A-Spec absolutely has piped in sounds. I blew the subwoofer early on and got these terrible buzzing sounds as I accelerated. At first my dealer denied that such a thing existed, except in an NSX. When I pushed they admitted it's there, but wouldn't/couldn't disable it.
Dealer replaced it...
I believe it's a good idea to drive an engine hard some times.
But it's a bad idea to do that either starting very cold, or to turn it off when very hot.
