We do have more than one system for the FL5 just like we do for the Integra, so my first question would be whether they had the Track Edition, which does not come equipped with our 180 Tech resonators so I would not be surprised to hear they had drone with Track.
We are pretty active on that...
Hey OP, not familiar with how other brands design their systems, but for us the 180 Technology resonator comes in clutch.
It has no packing material so it does not cut down on sound or tone. Its sole purpose is to cancel out drone frequencies. End result is a great tone while on throttle and...
You're the man Josh!
If anyone wants to take advantage of the sale but doesnt want to wait for thier system to be built looks like you get the best of both worlds. ?
Clamps provide infinitely more adjustability than flanges which provide next to none, plus gaskets are not required for slip fit connections. If installed correctly, slip fits get the job done just as well if not better than flanges. ?
Totally get not wanting to modify, that is the great part...
Trust that we are listening and we understand that you asked for a valve, but also that we won't just put a valve in a system just to say we did it.
We went through a thorough testing process where we determined that the valve doesn't have as much of an effect on the system as perceived, its...
Perhaps I was not clear enough in my explanation. The Touring Edition is as loud as the Track Edition at WOT. The 180 Tech resonator in the Touring Edition has no packing material and a straight-through design so you do not lose any performance. In fact, the Touring Edition is what we dyno.
The...
During R&D, AWE conducted a (quite painstaking) full evaluation of the factory valve and its behavior under various driving conditions to determine its reason for existing.
We didn't find any noticeable change in volume between modes during R&D that demanded a valve to be included. It's only...
Agreed, you are always going to see the most amount of power gain from a tune, with supporting modifications of course.
However, we did see power gains with just the exhaust system in place and no other modifications.
Obviously the gains were small since newer engines are much more efficient...
No tune required to run the exhaust system, all of our testing and dyno numbers were done with a stock tune to show a true apples to apples comparison.
Our system begins after the factory emissions which is the biggest reason you do not need a tune. If you choose to tune down the line, it can...
The Track Edition was surprisingly civilized especially with the stock downpipe in place. Now that is not to say it wouldn't get overwhelming for some within the cabin over longer distances that what was in the video. Interior is going to be the biggest difference between Track and Touring...
Appreciate the kind words!
I wouldn't say so, the Touring Edition is our perfect blend IMO. It has our 180 Tech resonator at the back that has a straight-through design so you don't lose out on performance and no packing material so its not a muffler, its sole purpose is to kill drone...
Of course, if any forum members do order, shoot me a DM with your order info and we'll sweeten the deal with a few small goodies ?
No videos to our knowledge at this time, but if we do come across one I will be sure to add it to the thread for reference ?
Keep in mind the Track Edition still has a packed resonator in the mid pipe so it does take the edge off of the harsh frequencies. The biggest difference between Track and Touring is within the cabin at cruising speeds.
While this system is not valved, the Touring Edition provides similar...
They look great on our R&D car that is for sure! ?
Sorry, we don't sell tips separately as they don't fit stock or other aftermarket systems. Thanks for admiring them though ?
???
Can confidently say there are a ton of R&D hours behind it (we even had to design a new box to ship it in)...
The team and I greatly appreciate the kind words and feedback ?
Our goal is to provide as much info as possible so folks can have confidence in their choice of system, but of course if you have any other questions I am happy to field them ?
We think so too, our engineers really knocked it out...
