I bought mine when they first came out in 2023 as a 2024 model. Before that, I emailed all the dealers in the Atlanta area to see what kind of markups they were charging—some were asking anywhere from $1k to $5k over MSRP. Eventually, I found one dealer who didn’t add a markup, but they required...
I spent about 1–2 years in the market while daily driving a Mk7 GTI — my first manual car. I was initially looking forward to the Mk8 GTI or Golf R, but the interior design and interface were a letdown for me. For my next car, I wanted something that was genuinely fun and engaging to drive. I...
I just wanted to share that I installed the Logo Pattern Projectors along with the Illuminated Door Sill Trim when I was putting in the folding mirrors, and it was really straightforward. The door panel comes off easily, and all you need to do is drill two marked holes in the plastic molding...
I'm curious if using the auto hold function might wear out the brakes more quickly. Since I do a lot of city driving and rely on that feature a lot, it’s something I’m thinking about!
My dealer mentioned the same thing when I had about 17k miles. I decided to replace them myself, and it ended up being about 2.5 times cheaper! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pads still had plenty of life left, but I went ahead and replaced everything anyway.
I’ve also seen that in the manual, and I find it quite absurd. Handles are designed to be pulled. This whole thing is like how companies advise against using Q-tips in your ears.
I definitely recommend upgrading to convex mirror glass—it's an enhancement you'll notice every time you're on the road! I went with Suma, and I'm really happy with it.
to relearn the auto-up function on your Honda or Acura window switch, simply open the window completely, then press and hold the window switch in the "up" position for a few seconds after it closes all the way. This will help the system learn the right travel distance for the automatic feature...
The switch in the picture above is from the kit, and I just finished installing the passenger side. Everything is working great, so it looks like both sides need to be in for the mirrors to function. What a relief!
Now I just have the puddle lights and illuminated door sills left to install...
I am still trying to track down the folding issue, and I've taken a look at the window switch to check for the folding chip. It does have a chip, but it looks a bit different from what I found online. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Thanks for your help!
Just to clarify, when you say "door switch," are you referring to the window switch and mirror switch, plus an additional button for the folding mirrors? That's the setup I just installed, and I wanted to check if all the wiring is good by toggling that button to see if my single folding mirror...
I'm in the process of installing kit C and was wondering if the mirror folding feature only activates when both sides are completed. I've only finished the driver side for now and would love to test everything before tackling the passenger side. Everything else seems to be working perfectly...
I really enjoy how powerful this car is! If I could suggest one change, it would be to adjust the throttle mapping in sport+ mode; I find it a bit too aggressive for my taste compared to the smoother feel of comfort mode. Also, it would be great if the pops and bangs feature could be a separate...
I decided to turn mine off, and I'm so grateful for the handy power toggle switch! Now, I just use a MagSafe charger on a mount, and it works so much better for me.
