Anytime!
I also have exactly -2 upfront and still rub. The RS-R springs I have advertise a 1” drop in the front, which is identical to the Pro-Kit. Assuming that’s accurate and you come across large speed bumps like I do, you’d likely rub. Note, front camber isn’t adjustable unless you have...
Hey, do you have a rear camber kit? That’s the only way you’ll be able to get to -1.5 camber in the rear after lowering. I have exactly -1.5 camber in the rear by way of the Eibach rear camber kit (adjustable rear upper control arms)
As far as rubbing goes, I have the same spacer combo and...
Hello @Maya@DSC, thank you for joining the forum, excited about your product! Do you know if there are upgraded coilovers in the works? I see some of your applications have options from Nitron and Tractive, is that a possibility for this platform?
If it’s one or the other, I’d go Fortune Auto, though I wouldn’t go with either.
Even the Eibach Sportline I recommended will feel much more firm than both the stock and H&R springs because the spring rates are much higher.
For RS-R, are you referring to this? https://www.rs-r.com/product/honda-civic-type-r-2023-best-i-active-coilover
If so, check out civicxi.com as I believe there’s a few people on there with them. I’d also consider the Eibach Sportlines if you want a less costly alternative for a lower drop.
Driving in the city has been a bit more compromised (I’m in NYC). I rub on the larger speed-bumps (but I also have spacers, so less fender clearance), and I have to angle in and out of gas stations, otherwise I’ll scrape. I’ve also hit the bump stops a handful of times on big potholes. I...
If you don’t mind the trade off of less ground clearance and suspension travel, I would recommend lowering springs. I noticed greater body control, quicker turn-in, and less brake dive under heavier braking with the higher spring rates and lower center of gravity.
I’d recommend Spoon springs...
Check out the civicx and civicxi forums. Whether you end up building your motor or not, I recommend upgrading the head studs as a preventative. The head gasket is historically the weak point of tuned L15s.
Love seeing this car get critical acclaim. I wonder how it’d fare dynamically against the M340i, which is the quintessential entry level sports sedan imo
First post and I’m bored, so I’ll chime in.
It does look like a race beginning at the 6 second mark, but the person lets off at the 9 second mark. That looks like an F30, and if it’s a 340i/xi, the quarter mile trap speed is identical to a stock DE5 (Source: Motor Trend). A tuned Type S would...
