Really, does it even have to? The average US person is flipping out of a car every 72 months. So, 1-2 yrs after their 5-6 yrs of payments are up they are looking for another one.
As it says. What modern car is the most 90's to you?
For me I'd say in Spirit its the 86/BRZ, but in terms of "barely freaking changed" I'd say the Corolla. It's still an under-powered, reliable, A2B commuter.
If the Si had a coupe or Hatch I'd say that would be a contended.
XD damn I've been busting his balls since 2001, guess I cant anymore. We both started learning to tune in the in the Escort ZX2 scene together. Good times long past.
For 29K you can get the 2.0T AWD Maverick with Tow Package that seats 4 and has a bed. Put on a tune, lowering springs and sway bars and you'll have a well handling near 300cHP and be only a little more than the Integra base price. Also, you'll be able to tow something if you need to. You'd lose...
I mean yeah.. if you ignore weight, gearing, tires...Also that it gets WORSE PG than the Si, and much worse than the base Civic...
I mean if you ignore ALL that... you're right.
lol Starved? Tell me you never had to deal with a 70's or 80's engine without telling me you never had to deal with a 70's or 80's engine. 220hp in a 2800lb car was a LOT in the early 90's.
VW isn't a luxury brand, that is admittedly Audi, but we all know people are going to be comparing the Type-S and Type-R to the Golf R.
315HP 280TQ(295 with DCT)
AWD
6spd manual/DCT
44K
Unless the Type-S manages to come in quite light, and under 40K, gonna be hard as the last CTR was about 40...
Some of those stats also depend on if the car has the all-season or summer tires and what the old car had they are comparing to. Temps also are a matter, its colder right now, what season did the last car some out? For example its in the upper 30's/lower 40's here. Not something that I'd expect...
I mean that's kind of what Honda said, it would have a better low end, and hold its power longer.
Both of those are MUCH more noticeable than 5HP would even be.
Canada has lower import fees and taxes than the US, also its very cold up there so heated/vented items are almost a requirement to sell a car there as without them people won't even consider them. The Integra will also likely be cheaper up there then it is in the US. Thats how currency...
