I think it's a little bit played out, but it can look good on lighter cars.
I don't like the murdered out black wheels on black cars though. Detail tends to get washed out on black wheels too which I'm not crazy about.
That being said, I have gunmetal wheels on my white truck and I think that...
Wait, what goes too low? As far as I know, the ITS doesn't have auto tilt down so I do it manually. Just stop before it's too low.
Also about the nighttime comment, I parallel park in the daytime as well and it helps then.
I kind of regret doing full PPF as well. It kind of opened up a bag of worms with a handful of spots with thin paint at the edges, not to mention the cost.
If I could do it again, I'd just do something like a "track" package -- full front, door cups, side mirrors.
I detailed my teg for the first time this weekend (2 wks after ceramic coating) and I was dreading having to deal with the piano black trim.
I sprayed QD (specifically Shine Supply Throttle) on a microfiber and very lightly wiped it. It worked very well! I practically dragged a hanging corner...
Like I mentioned though, I've been driving somewhat gingerly since I was still breaking my car in.
I did accidentally redline the car the other day beating this car at a merge though (backroads in a rural area where the intersection breaks up into two lanes). First time I'd pushed it and I...
No, I actually know how to drive manual... KIDDING! :D
I haven't pushed the car hard yet so my driving (and shifting) has been pretty benign thus far.
Not sure how much it matters but daily driving around town, it hasn't been an issue.
Like @koatic mentioned, you'll have to strip the coating off before you can get to the water spots. The above sprays/vinegar solution won't work otherwise.
So who's going to this?
I got two tickets so I'll be bringing my little kid. He's only 5 though so I'm not sure what his tolerance is as far as watching the whole thing. I'm not a indy fan (though I am an F1 fan) so at worse, it'll still be a good time checking out the cars and seeing a bit of...
That's only helpful if OP is a time traveler though :p
But yep, prevention is key. My car is also coated and it's more susceptible to water spotting because of that.
Try a dedicated water spot remover like this
I think diluted vinegar can also work in a pinch (you need something acidic to eat at the minerals which make up the water spots)
The dealbreaker for me with the M3C though is that it's DSG. I'm not tracking this car so I like the satisfaction of rowing through the gears.
I don't disagree with any of your points though. There's plenty of things a car at this price point and segment that are missing. I've often heard...
That was me - the 28lbs figure I don't recall exactly where I picked up. Thanks for clarifying the actual weight is closer to 26lbs.
I love the stock wheels as is so I'm looking for weight savings if I were to replace them (eyeing CE28s ?)
to be fair, those seats are GREAT for the people that fit in them. I am one of those people and I was/am in love with the seats.
