I implore my other forum members to contact Acura and file a complaint about the carbon fiber trim pieces. We should not be required to clear coat prior to installation unless stated so on the sales page description. Nor should we have to hand wash only. I live in New England it gets cold here...
My email to Acura Client Relations:
I have an issue with the Acura Carbon fiber trim pieces. The clear coat is pealing. My dealer offered to replace the defective parts as a āone time only goodwill gestureā. The service representative asked if a used a car wash. Occasionally I will use a...
Update: Friday September 6th. Having not heard back from the dealer I stopped in unannounced when I was at the UPS store next door. The service representative said to bring the car around and take a seat in the lounge. The rep came out and asked me if I used an automated car wash. I said...

So I called the dealership on July 29th explained to service writer what was happening. He said he would need to see the damage in person as he couldnāt tell from the pictures I sent. Drove out to the dealership he took a look and said he would order the parts and get back to me. I called...
5 day stretch of no rain in the forecast so I ran the car through the touchless car wash. Dammit while applying ceramic spray wax I noticed this defect on the driver mirror.
Looks like an unscheduled trip to the dealer.
$612 btw
Yep, $969 requires drilling holes in deck lid and metal shavings in cargo area. Mirror caps still seem ok. How long is the warranty on dealer installed accessories ?

My dad never put premium fuel in his 2006 Acura MDX. Itās still running around with 230,000+ on the odometer. That said I donāt always follow Dadās advice and give my rides the good stuff.
The Acura branded sunshade is very snug. It does cover the windshield corner to corner which makes it fiddly to fit. It is also bulky which in turn makes it difficult to fold without hitting your passengers when tossing it into the rear seat. That being said it does a good job keeping the...
Congrats.
I finally saw a Tiger eye ITS yesterday, the first and only lTS I've seen all winter down here in Naples.
I had a deposit on a Mazda 3 hatch manual poly gray w/red interior but my dealer never found one in my spec. Iām glad because Iām happy with the Type S.

Not a fan, I learned the old fashioned way of balancing the car using the brakes, clutch, and throttle dance. I was teaching my oldest daughter to drive a manual. I got her a new beetle with a manual transmission. The clutch in the bug was as light as the Integra. We were practicing hill starts...
I noticed when I swapped over to my Continental DSWs to the stock gun metal Honda Enkeis the bronze was just on the face of the wheel and the barrel faded to a silver gray. For the price they are asking it should be bronze all the way through.
