These look better than I thought they would based on the rendered pics! They're not as "loud" as I thought they'd be and I like the dark grey text option as that seems to be the most subtle.
I have the OEM guards on my car now, so I'm not in a hurry to get these. I'm interested to see real-life...
~1100 miles after about 2 months with the car. Averaging mid-20s MPG for gas mileage. About 15-20% better than my TLX! Real test will be how those numbers will look as we get deeper into the winter with winter formulations for gas, etc.
Looks nice! How does it do with the big camera bump on the back of iPhones? I assume the magnets will still hold the phones in place decently enough, but any issues with the camera pump propping up the phone and preventing it from sitting flush with the magsafe charger? Or does the charger stick...
Appreciate the input (from you and others)!
I remounted each wheel and was extra thoughtful about each step, checking for any looseness, etc. and still had the initial morning bumpiness. I really do think it's just flatspotting overnight and the temperature swings we're seeing + winter compound...
I think this review from the Smoking Tire might've sold a lot of ITSes. I was kinda on the fence, but this is one of the reviews (among many I saw/read) that stood out in making a strong case for the car.
Yeah, the ITS has some torque steer, but it's very manageable. I'm surprised at how much attention the torque steer is getting. I'd probably rate it maybe a 2 or a hesitant max of 3 on the scale of 0 being "non-existent" to 10 being "this thing will yank you across the interstate into opposing...
Hmm... seems it would be prudent for me to double check everything then. I think I'll go as far as re-mounting each wheel and see how things go from there.
If the issue persists, then it seems it may be a balance issue. Hopefully that's the worst it gets anyway. Though it wouldn't explain why...
Your comment on DSW (or is it DWS? Whatever - same three letters anyway haha) leads me to believe that the softer compound probably makes the flatspotting more prominent (which would make sense), but I may jack up each corner and check things are tight just in case.
I just don't remember...
For anyone who have swapped to their winter setup already: Are you noticing flatspotting overnight?
I feel like the flatspotting I'm getting with the Vredstein Wintrac Pro tires is pretty bad as the car feels bumpy when I first drive off in the morning, but maybe it's because I haven't had a...
Lower profile is probably better since this car sits pretty low. I've got something like this: https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack-stands/floor-jacks/15-ton-low-profile-aluminum-racing-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-64545.html - specs say minimum height of 3.5 inches and that was...
Had a moment over the weekend where I pondered this as I saw a car coming towards me on the other side of the interstate and thought it looked really cool and aggressive. It wasn't until it got closer that realized it was an Apex Blue ITS 😅 😆
There's more cars in my history than I care to admit, but here's the highlights:
First car: 1992 Honda Accord - skinny tires, low to the ground, 4-speed auto. Had this car through the "Fast and Furious" era, but I never modified it. I started to get interested in cars though while I had it...
For the sake of your safety and others on the road, don't drive with the OEM summer performance tires in the snow or when the ambient temperatures outside are cold (consistently <45F) for that matter.
The grip of the summer compound tires will be pretty bad when it's cold (even if the roads are...
In a word: Yes.
In many more words: Yes. I've had a bad habit of always compromising on something big with past car purchases and those compromises would always lead to regret after the honeymoon phase with the those new cars would start to wear off.
The ITS by far has the fewest and smallest...
I'm interested in this too. There's a rattle/buzzing sound in my car that I thought was coming from the glove box, but it turns out it was coming from the passenger eat. This buzzing would come up probably between ~1700-2000 RPM, especially when coasting off throttle or with very little throttle...
This might be the easiest solution that doesn't involve routing wiring in a way that leaves enough slack for the hatch to open, etc.: https://www.thedashcamstore.com/custom-metal-mounting-bracket-for-adhesive-dashcam-lenses/
A Reddit user says they used this in their 2022 Civic Hatch here:
No...
Has anyone tried to mount a rear dashcam in their car yet or seen anyone that has done so successfully?
I currently run a front-facing dashcam and I want to add one for the rear too but I'm not sure how well that would work since the rear camera would mount to the rear window. The main issue...
Others have chimed in with good info and thoughts on this; just to add to and reinforce what others have said:
This is my third car where I've run winter tires and I've found that winter tires can be reasonably versatile in transitional weather. Granted, they'll feel pretty squishy compared to...
I went with the 3D Kagu mats. Happy with them so far!
Haven’t had a chance to get good pics but I’ll try to remember to sometime soon. For what it’s worth, the pics on their website represent the product well, though the in-car pics they have aren’t of the Integra.
The mats were lighter than I...
Thanks! I didn't think there were any as I would be surprised if I didn't notice them when I did the swap, but I just wanted to be sure. I didn't mean to be lazy by asking here before checking myself, but haven't been able to for various reasons so I appreciate your response!
