Definitely reliable I'd say. Check out the 10th gen civic reliability thread
Had mine done for at least 40k tuned now and no issues. At 83k miles overall. Granted I don't do many 0-60s or really aggressive pulls since it's my daily. As long as you don't abuse it and do the standard maintenance...
To me doesn't feel like it changed the fake shifts. Could be wrong, but overall you can definitely feel the increase in whp and torque.
Here is the tune description on their website to get a good idea of it and how it would work. Eco with this tune does change things depending on the map
My 10th gen civic is the CVT and tuned. Can definitely feel the added torque the tune gives over stock. I use TSP Stage 1 which can be used on the manuals as well. Far as I know its the same power and torque but it is slightly limited at lower RPM's for the CVT to avoid damage. Wonder how much...
People have been tuning and modifying the 1.5t since they came out in the 10th gen Civics. Definitely reliable with added power as long as they aren't abused. I've had my 10th gen civic tuned since 40k miles and I'm at 84k now with no hiccups. Just doing standard maintenance along the way...
The Type S should have Brembo brakes. The prototype shown months ago had brembo calipers. Would also fit the theme with the other vehicles in the lineup with a Type S
Just for the spoiler, rear diffuser, and side underbody spoilers is $2605... sheesh. Puts it definitely over 40k OTD for A-spec tech (including all fees and taxes)
Hope so, I can see it being fall/winter reveal. Hoping it is at same time as the Type R but doesn’t seem likely. May be good indication of what the Type S could be though 🤔
Tune, intake, rear sway bar, front strut tower brace, front/down pipes, maybe an exhaust later on. Those are my go to within first year or two most likely. Maybe an upgrade to Type S brembos if they can be mounted to non Type S cars. Can do so on the TLX's. Also may just upgrade to the Type S...
Hopefully that is the case, and I assume you can choose your own color with the individual mode. Still, wish it wasn't limited and wish they put some on the dash. Think it is only on the doors right?
I hope it being one color only is wrong and it actually can change just like how it does in other Acura products.. feel like why include it at all if it's only one color. Not to mention it really wouldn't be much more to change it. Even non-premium car companies now have multi colored ambient...
This is a good video explaining the whole regular vs premium debate/what's recommended
Me personally, I do see the benefits of premium and do use it and will use it in the Integra once I get mine
This is where my thought process is. It's nice sometimes, but having that white to break it up is what makes it way better imo. It's a nice contrast that I think I could manage as I've never had a car that didn't have black/dark colored seats
From what my dealer said, the first batch of cars they're getting are all manual. I'm not getting the manual so they said next order after the first should include automatics and more manuals. Think timeline they said was it would be 2 months after the order goes in. First batch comes May since...
Yeah it’s what I had to do. Called my local dealer and I guess it’s been a problem for them. Not sure just them or other dealers too and Acura as a whole. Went through their buy online portal and put my $500 in so it’s in their system and they said a rep would contact me regarding trim and color...
Anyone try to reserve and it gives you an error saying it can't process your payment info? My info is right, went through it a couple times to make sure and no dice. Wonder if maybe initial reservations are over
I would reserve, but think I'm gonna work on my credit some more and save up more of a down payment for Type S when it comes out. Since I think that's what I really want more than settling for the A-spec tech. I know I'll end up regretting it later on.
Hopefully we get more details for Type S...
