If you keep it above and behind the airbags, there should be no issues in the event the airbags ever need to deploy. The airbags are the first thing under the trim, so it's easy to spot. Good luck! :D
Plate looks awesome!
And Amsoil is good stuff.
However, I would only use Pennzoil in my lawnmower as it's Group III oil. Stick to Amsoil, Redline, or Mobil 1 for true synthetic Group IV. I typically use Mobil since Amsoil and Redline can be expensive.
Thanks!
Thank you! Some things to mull over for sure.
The weird thing is that I NEVER grind on downshifting. And I downshift about 3/4 as much as upshifting.
I've ground 1st to 2nd upshifts about four times since I got the ITS. And that's worrying me. My muscle memory from decades of shifting other manuals (74 VW Bug, 87 Civic, 89 Katana 750F, 91 CRX Si, and 96 CBR-600 F3) gives me trouble with the ITS. I wonder if I'm not fully depressing the...
Left and right trim removed at top of hatch:
Pull both ends of the rubber wiring harness boot/grommet from the metal frames:
Pull off the weatherstripping from the top, left side (to be able to get to the trim below it with the speaker mount), and a little on the top-right side:
Pop...
I finally got around to installing of the rear camera for my ROVE R2-4K Dual PRO dash cam in my '26 ITS over Memorial Day weekend. This guide helped identify the best route for the rear hatch. Thanks!
I'm sharing photos of my install to help anyone else doing this. Start with the USB cable...
That's awesome. Nothing like doing it all yourself from the ground up. I haven't made the time, nor garage space, for any project car like that. Always worried I'd never get around to finishing it. But I'd love to do that with a B16A build. I really miss my old 91 CRX Si. It was like driving a...
The cameras are not difficult to mount and route cabling, but deciding how to show those feeds inside the cabin is a frustrating choice. Probably a separate screen somewhere. Would be awesome to incorporate that into the infotainment screen, but don't really feel like rooting the system and...
Nice. You're fixing what everyone who reviews the ITS complains about. No charging ports/vents in rear seats. Not to mention the piano black on center console that scratches so easily.
A lot of these gripes I share, but most are minor for me. Kudos on changing that for your ride!
Very cool to have it in the family since then! Gone in 60 seconds made "Eleanor" (67 fastback) more popular than ever. I love all of the 60s Mustangs... they're timeless.
The copper wheels will look hot against the white paint. I think it looks great on both white and gray cars.
And wow, 65 Corvette and 65 Mustang Fastback. Damn.
I put a hefty amount down and set my loan for the shortest reasonable period of 3 years. I then paid a hefty amount against the principle almost immediately. Which took it from 3 years to 2 years and 4 months, with same monthly payment. As others mentioned, this reduces the time on the loan and...
I do notice the clutch soften up a bit after it warms up, but it's not a huge difference. Also shifting is a bit more notchy when the transmission/synchro gears are cold.
Yes, they do have time for that. They are bench tested and have an actual break-in at the factory, up to 80% redline and 150 mile equivalent. But this doesn't negate the need to observe a break in period for the first owner.
From Acura, for the last gen NSX as an example (source):

Mine is, and will continue being, a daily driver. I keep it garaged at home and garaged at work, but it gets driven almost every day in the snow, ice, rain, whatever. It's a car, not a 'special snowflake' to be babied. Of course it's a wonderful car and I don't beat the crap out of it like I did...
